5 Months Already?

It is hard for me to believe how fast Spencer is growing and changing. Here are some shots from his 5 month shoot: Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket He is getting close to sitting up, and yesterday he rolled over back to front for the first time. He has done it several times today too, as if to prove it wasn't just a fluke. The only problem is that with that big old head of his, he gets tired of being on his tummy pretty fast. I have to keep rolling him back over to keep him from crying and getting mad. It looks like it won't be long now before I'm chasing three little boys instead of just two.

I Was Able to Get Some Layouts Done This Weekend

I hadn't had time to scrapbook for a while now, but this weekend I did! I did the first 3 for Scrapbooks.com, and the last just for me. It felt good to be scrapping again! Spencer is a Cool Dude

A few weeks ago Marc and I were upstairs when we started hearing giggleing downstairs from the boys. Not the "we are happy and playing together and laughing" type of giggleing, but the "Oh, this is reaaaaaaaly funny, but shhhhhhhhh! Quiet! We don't want them to know what we are up too" type of giggeling. This had me worried. Really worried as this is never a good thing! The last time I heard that kind of giggeling Marc found both Ty and Blake squeezing blue toothpaste out all over their bathroom. So, worried little me gets to the top of the stairs and suddenly my heart is in my throat as I can see both Ty and Blake hovering around Spencer who last time I checked was sleeping in his swing. The good news is I can tell he is not out of his swing, and he is not screaming, so I calm down a little. I say in my best "mom" voice "What are you two doing?" Ty and Blake turn around and I can finally see Spencer, who looks like this: Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket And Ty announces proudly "Spencer is a cool dude Mom!" So now that I can breath, I yell to Marc that he has to come and see this. We both have a good laugh, and I snap a few pictures before I free poor Spencer from his "coolness." Thank goodness it was just sunglasses. With my boys, I happen to know I got off lucky this time.

Ty is of course, as he seems...

Sweet, quiet, creative, careful, and very sensitive (especially when he has to have a talking to from me--he can cry and be sad about it forever!) Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Still, we love all our boys like crazy! Even as different as they each are. :) Recently, someone at our church lost their 2 youngest children in an auto accident. I didn't really know them, but you can believe that their tragedy had me giving extra hugs and kisses to my boys last night. I don't know what I would ever do without them!

You think he is so cute and innocent...

I mean look at him...such an angel. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Of course then you wake up from LaLa land and see the truth behind that grin. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Blake has removed his pants for the upteenth time today, he is running around the house in his Daddy's shoes, screaming at the top of his lungs, banging everything in site with toy golf clubs. And that is a pretty good example of a typical morning at our house.

Spencer Discovers His Feet--In His Own Words

"Oh my gosh, what is that?!" Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket "Oh--My--Word!!! There are two of them!" Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket "Did you know about this?" Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket "Permenently attatched toys? Awesome!" Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket And that is pretty much how it went.

Prayer Time

Ty cracks me up every time it is prayer time. He always wants to say it, and he always comes up with the funniest things to say. He can even get a little bit long winded at times as he thanks Heavenly Father for just about everything under the sun-not that this is a bad thing, just a little bit trying on Blake's patience as he is usually waiting to eat. Yesterday for example Ty started off his dinner time prayer in the usual manner, expressing gratitude for the day, grandparents, the food etc. However, he threw in a few new ones that Marc and I had a hard time not giggling about. Some of those things were: "Thank you for girls." (I thought we would have a few years before this one!) "Thank you for the zoo." (Yes, I guess he was paying attention as Marc and I talked about going there.) "Thank you for the beach." (Yup, he listened in on that conversation too.) "Thank you for rocks." (Both Ty and Blake have a new found love of rocks from our front yard) "Thank you for toys" (Self explanatory) "Thank you for Sacrament" (Hey, some of church and family home evening must be rubbing off somewhere!) "Thank you for dancing girls" (As if plain girls weren't enough it now appears our years of living in Vegas are showing!) Lastly "Thank you for Blake" and "Thank you for Spencer" (Warms a Mom's heart to hear this-I just hope he is more grateful for them than dancing girls!) I can't wait to hear what he is grateful for tonight!

2 Recent Photo Shoots

Here are a few of my favorites from 2 recent photo shoots. The first was of a real cute 6 month old, and the second was a multi-family portrait. The Academy of Super Heros

For the past little while both Ty and Blake have been having a super hero battle. Blake has decided that Spiderman is waaaaaay cooler than Ty's favorite hero, Superman. Ty for obvious reasons disagrees. This can lead to quite the sophisticated shouting match which goes something like this: "Spiderman! No, Superman! No, Spiderman! No, Supermaaaaan! Noooo, Spidermaaaaan! Nooooo, Supermaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!" etc, all the while getting louder and more violent. Ty has also decided that I need a superhero alter ego. He suggested Batman, but I told him I'd prefer Batgirl. Ty seemed to think this was okay as long as Dad would be Batman. I guess that leaves Spencer as our little sidekick Robin, which I think is fairly fitting. I have a feeling we may have just discovered what our Halloween costumes will be this year. Out of curiosity I took a look to see what our options might be. Don't you think we would all be dashing in these? :) Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket All this superhero talk has gotten me thinking though. I have a rather vast knowledge of everything to do with Disney Princesses, Barbies, and Sheria-The Princess of Power, however my superhero knowledge is a little bit lacking. In fact if it weren't for a few episodes of the 1960's batman sitcoms and the recent Spiderman movies I really wouldn't know much at all! So, realizing that I have a lot to learn about the world and thinking of little boys I ask, "Does anyone know of a good superhero acadamey offering crash courses to Moms?"
