My Scrap Space, Real Milwaukee, and A Minty Frosty the Snowman...

How's that for a title? I promise they are all crafting related, but that's about all they share in common!

First off let me quickly share a link to the Bella Blvd Blog where you can take a peek at my scrap space if you ever wonder where I keep all my supplies :) All of the Bella Artistas share their scrap Spaces on the blog, so be sure and scroll through the past posts to lots of other great ways to store your supplies.

Next I wanted to share this year's teacher/neighbor gift idea. I've been really racking my brain over this one this year, as I really wanted to do something cute and different than past year's treat bags. Then I remembered a box of mints Marc's aunt had given us many, many, years ago right after we were first married. She had fixed it up to look like a snowman. Perfect! I ran off to the store to get these:

Which Marc, and the boys, and I, turned into 20+ of these :)

We had a lot of giving them out, especially the boys. They were excited to give their teachers something they helped make--which made this an even better project than past years where I did all the work. I'm thinking these would be really cute with some awesome scrapbook paper, but for mass productions sake we just used tissue paper.

Last, I just wanted to share a Video Clip from Real Milwaukee, a local fox morning show where Stephanie Hunt from Bella Blvd recently appeared with a tutorial on making the gift bags I did as part of my December Guest Artista stint :)

Bella Blvd has put together a slightly different version of my template which makes these bags really fast and easy to make. You can download and then print it here.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Ribbon Candy for your Tree?

Would you like to know how to make this fun little ornament for your tree? (Or maybe even a set of them?)

Well then, head on over to the Bella Blvd Blog for my full set of instructions (with photo steps) :)

Plus you can check out a Pebbles Holiday Card I made for their blog here. And if you scroll back a few days you can see a post on their blog where I made this little set of Holiday Decor Blocks for a dear friend.

Have a great day/night everyone!

Bella Blvd Guest Artista For December

I was so excited when I was selected as a guest artista for Bella Blvd! I was selected for December so I had lots of time to work on my projects and have been excitedly waiting for my chance to share what I made. Here is a link to my introduction (please excuse the giant pixalated photo--apparently I sent in a photo too small!)

For my introduction I choose to make some gift bags. Here is one:

You can see another gift bag and the instructions on their blog here:

Also today the sketch challenge that I was a part of went up! Here is my interpretation and you can see the other artistia's layouts--plus the sketch we all used on today's post here.

Lots more where that came from later this month!

Thanks for stopping by!

KMA Layout Share

For this past month I decided to play with the new Crate Paper School Spirit line. I love the colors and patterns in this line--in fact I think it is currently my favorite release of this year. The projects I made with it came together so easily that they practically scrapbooked themselves! I love it when that happens. :)

This was my favorite layout of the bunch, all about Ty's first day of school this year.

The journaling reads: "This year Ty, you were very excited to start the school year! You were pleased to find out that you knew your teacher and that you liked her. You were also excited that Blake was starting Kindergarten and that you would be able to help him as he learned where everything was in the school! 3rd grade was my favorite year of grade school and I hope it will be one of yours as well! August 2010 "

More from this collection tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!

I know, it's been forever....

...since my last post. I promise I have good reasons! Mainly they center around hanging out here:

and eating this on Thanksgiving:

And drinking these--virgin of course!

And exploring here:

And being just a little bit silly here:

And climbing to the top of this:

 And going down these:

 And snorkeling here:

And collecting rocks and shells here:

And being just a tad bit silly on this as well:

It was an awesome cruise/trip spent with all my side of the family--super fun--but no Internet which meant no blogging :(

Since getting back, I've come down with a lovely cold which is driving me crazy because I have so much to do and catch up on!

In fact I still need to show the rest of my November kit projects from My Scrapbook Nook!

This was a fun kit to play with and it sold out super fast!

I did some thank you cards with this kit as well:

And a little Christmas card too!

As I said before, this kit is sold out, however you can still check out the beautiful December kit, which I just had the chance to start using--and it is wonderful!

I've got a few altered things in the works with this kit and I can't wait to finish them up and share!

Thanks for putting up with my absence--and I'm going to make it up again with a project a day post for the rest of the week. So check back tomorrow! And happy holidays everyone!

Too Early for Christmas?

I hope not :) Today I wanted to share an advent calender I made last year. I saw something similar on Two Peas so I can't take credit for the idea to use a mini muffin tin for this, but I did have a lot of fun trying this idea out. I bought magnetic sheets at Hobby Lobby and cut them into squares to cover the openings of each hole and then covered each with some Christmas papers by Imaginisce.

The numbers are thickers that I simply added to 2 circles I cut with my Creative Memories Circle Cutter. I used 2 different fonts of thickers.

Inside each cup is a mini figure from the nativity. I found these at Hobby Lobby. I had to buy 2 sets to have 24, so there are quite a few sheep and camels, but I also have some extra figures in case we ever lose one.

The boys take turns opening one each day. It has turned out to be a very good way to keep them focused on the true meaning of Christmas during the holiday season :)

I've got to run kids to school now, so that's all for today! Have a great day!

I've said it before, but I really do love the street we live on....

...it just couldn't be better! So I scrapbooked about it (of course) :)

I did this layout with the awesome Nov. kit from My Scrapbook Nook--that I told you about in the last post. I love everything to do with Cosmo Cricket and this kit is full of it! I believe there is only 2 of these kits left, so if your interested in having one for yourself, you might want to hurry :)

The journaling reads:

We are so blessed to live on our street! We have such great neighbors and there are some really awesome kids for our boys to play with. We have block parties with them, celebrate the end of school together, baby-sit for each other and on any nice evening you can find the families outside visiting with each other and the kids playing games, skating, or riding bikes in the street together. We love our street! --Spring 2010

Wow, I didn't know blogger could copy the font too! Awesome! I guess you learn something new everyday :)

Have a great day everyone!
