My Mind's Eye Blog Challenge

Sorry for the lack of posts this week. I've been mass producing layouts with Queen and Company's magic line for their board program. I need 90 of my "I'm All Ears" layouts finished up pretty soon here. It is a lot of work and has kept me super busy. Still, I found a moment to squeeze in this layout for the My Mind's Eye blog challenge. I saw a sketch up on their blog and knew I wanted to do it instantly. It has a very layered look--and anyone familiar with my style knows I love to layer:

This layout uses their lovely Be Loved line and is about the surprise Valentines my boys gave to me this past Valentine's Day. Here is the journaling:

"Your dad and I agreed we would skip gifts for each other this Valentine’s Day, and instead spend the money on a nice date night for us later. So imagine my surprise when on Valentine’s Day morning you sweet boys woke me up by bringing me a few of my favorite treats. Apparently your dad quickly ran you boys into the store while I thought you were waiting for me to do some shopping. It was a really fun treat! I had no idea your dad could be so sneaky! So thanks to you boys and your dad for a very fun surprise! 2-14-10"

Here is a little close up of the details:

So that is all for today...now back to my work table to finish up all these layouts! I'm nearly done, but I'm kind of out of steam at this point. Hopefully tonight I'll have them all done and all this stuff will no longer be filling up my working space:
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

  1. Beautiful layout. I will definately be scraplifting you. I've been bookmarking your pages for quite some time now. I love your scrapbooking style. Haven't you been on the design team at twopeas? Do you design for any one else or do you sell your layouts anywhere online? Amazing layout. shari

  4. Hi Sheri!

Thanks for your sweet comments. To answer your questions--no--I've never designed for 2peas, but I do like to hang out there from time to time :) And yes I currently design for Queen and Company, Creative Memories, and scrapbook/scrapbooks.com. I don't sell my designs, but each month on the 20th I put up 4 new layouts in my scrapbook.com and scrapbooks.com (they are sister sites) galleries as part of my design work with them. Hope that answers your questions. Thanks again! --Ginger

  9. Ginger - your work is always so fabulous! Love your take on the MME challenge and how you used those Be Loved papers. I had those in mind for Anam's sketch, but went with the Love Me Do instead. Gorgeous work :)
